| CVE-2018-1305 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 6 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
Security constraints defined by annotations of Servlets in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.4, 8.5.0 to 8.5.27, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.49 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.84 were only applied once a Servlet had been loaded. Because security constraints defined in this way apply to the URL pattern and any URLs below that point, it was possible - depending on the order Servlets were loaded - for some security constraints not to be applied. This could have exposed resources to users who were not authorised to access them.

The URL pattern of "" (the empty string) which exactly maps to the context root was not correctly handled in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.4, 8.5.0 to 8.5.27, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.49 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.84 when used as part of a security constraint definition. This caused the constraint to be ignored. It was, therefore, possible for unauthorised users to gain access to web application resources that should have been protected. Only security constraints with a URL pattern of the empty string were affect ...

| CVE-2018-1303 | 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more | 7 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
A specially crafted HTTP request header could have crashed the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30 due to an out of bound read while preparing data to be cached in shared memory. It could be used as a Denial of Service attack against users of mod_cache_socache. The vulnerability is considered as low risk since mod_cache_socache is not widely used, mod_cache_disk is not concerned by this vulnerability.
| CVE-2018-1302 | 3 Apache, Canonical, Netapp | 6 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Clustered Data Ontap and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
When an HTTP/2 stream was destroyed after being handled, the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30 could have written a NULL pointer potentially to an already freed memory. The memory pools maintained by the server make this vulnerability hard to trigger in usual configurations, the reporter and the team could not reproduce it outside debug builds, so it is classified as low risk.
| CVE-2018-1301 | 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more | 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
A specially crafted request could have crashed the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30, due to an out of bound access after a size limit is reached by reading the HTTP header. This vulnerability is considered very hard if not impossible to trigger in non-debug mode (both log and build level), so it is classified as low risk for common server usage.
| CVE-2018-1283 | 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more | 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.5 LOW | 5.3 MEDIUM |
In Apache httpd 2.4.0 to 2.4.29, when mod_session is configured to forward its session data to CGI applications (SessionEnv on, not the default), a remote user may influence their content by using a "Session" header. This comes from the "HTTP_SESSION" variable name used by mod_session to forward its data to CGIs, since the prefix "HTTP_" is also used by the Apache HTTP Server to pass HTTP header fields, per CGI specifications.

| CVE-2018-1126 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Procps-ng Project and 2 more | 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Procps-ng and 7 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 HIGH | 4.8 MEDIUM |
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to an incorrect integer size in proc/alloc.* leading to truncation/integer overflow issues. This flaw is related to CVE-2018-1124.
| CVE-2018-1124 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 3 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to multiple integer overflows leading to a heap corruption in file2strvec function. This allows a privilege escalation for a local attacker who can create entries in procfs by starting processes, which could result in crashes or arbitrary code execution in proc utilities run by other users.
| CVE-2018-1123 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Procps-ng Project | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Procps-ng | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 3.9 LOW |
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to a denial of service in ps via mmap buffer overflow. Inbuilt protection in ps maps a guard page at the end of the overflowed buffer, ensuring that the impact of this flaw is limited to a crash (temporary denial of service).
| CVE-2018-1122 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Procps-ng Project | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Procps-ng | 2024-11-21 | 4.4 MEDIUM | 7.3 HIGH |
procps-ng before version 3.3.15 is vulnerable to a local privilege escalation in top. If a user runs top with HOME unset in an attacker-controlled directory, the attacker could achieve privilege escalation by exploiting one of several vulnerabilities in the config_file() function.
| CVE-2018-1120 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.5 LOW | 2.8 LOW |
A flaw was found affecting the Linux kernel before version 4.17. By mmap()ing a FUSE-backed file onto a process's memory containing command line arguments (or environment strings), an attacker can cause utilities from psutils or procps (such as ps, w) or any other program which makes a read() call to the /proc/<pid>/cmdline (or /proc/<pid>/environ) files to block indefinitely (denial of service) or for some controlled time (as a synchronization primitive for other attacks).
| CVE-2018-1118 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 2.1 LOW | 2.3 LOW |
Linux kernel vhost since version 4.8 does not properly initialize memory in messages passed between virtual guests and the host operating system in the vhost/vhost.c:vhost_new_msg() function. This can allow local privileged users to read some kernel memory contents when reading from the /dev/vhost-net device file.
| CVE-2018-1116 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Polkit Project | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Polkit | 2024-11-21 | 3.6 LOW | 4.4 MEDIUM |
A flaw was found in polkit before version 0.116. The implementation of the polkit_backend_interactive_authority_check_authorization function in polkitd allows to test for authentication and trigger authentication of unrelated processes owned by other users. This may result in a local DoS and information disclosure.
| CVE-2018-1108 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Linux | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
kernel drivers before version 4.17-rc1 are vulnerable to a weakness in the Linux kernel's implementation of random seed data. Programs, early in the boot sequence, could use the data allocated for the seed before it was sufficiently generated.

The ext4_fill_super function in fs/ext4/super.c in the Linux kernel through 4.15.15 does not always initialize the crc32c checksum driver, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service (ext4_xattr_inode_hash NULL pointer dereference and system crash) via a crafted ext4 image.
| CVE-2018-1087 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 8 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 8.0 HIGH |
kernel KVM before versions kernel 4.16, kernel 4.16-rc7, kernel 4.17-rc1, kernel 4.17-rc2 and kernel 4.17-rc3 is vulnerable to a flaw in the way the Linux kernel's KVM hypervisor handled exceptions delivered after a stack switch operation via Mov SS or Pop SS instructions. During the stack switch operation, the processor did not deliver interrupts and exceptions, rather they are delivered once the first instruction after the stack switch is executed. An unprivileged KVM guest user could use this ...
