An issue was discovered in OpenStack Nova before 23.2.2, 24.x before 24.1.2, and 25.x before 25.0.2. By creating a neutron port with the direct vnic_type, creating an instance bound to that port, and then changing the vnic_type of the bound port to macvtap, an authenticated user may cause the compute service to fail to restart, resulting in a possible denial of service. Only Nova deployments configured with SR-IOV are affected.
CVE-2022-2447 2 Openstack, Redhat 5 Keystone, Openstack, Openstack Platform and 2 more 2024-11-21 N/A 6.6 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in Keystone. There is a time lag (up to one hour in a default configuration) between when security policy says a token should be revoked from when it is actually revoked. This could allow a remote administrator to secretly maintain access for longer than expected.
CVE-2022-23452 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Barbican, Openstack Platform 2024-11-21 N/A 4.9 MEDIUM
An authorization flaw was found in openstack-barbican, where anyone with an admin role could add secrets to a different project container. This flaw allows an attacker on the network to consume protected resources and cause a denial of service.
CVE-2022-23451 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Barbican, Openstack Platform 2024-11-21 N/A 8.1 HIGH
An authorization flaw was found in openstack-barbican. The default policy rules for the secret metadata API allowed any authenticated user to add, modify, or delete metadata from any secret regardless of ownership. This flaw allows an attacker on the network to modify or delete protected data, causing a denial of service by consuming protected resources.
CVE-2022-0718 3 Debian, Openstack, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Oslo.utils, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more 2024-11-21 N/A 4.9 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in python-oslo-utils. Due to improper parsing, passwords with a double quote ( " ) in them cause incorrect masking in debug logs, causing any part of the password after the double quote to be plaintext.
CVE-2021-4180 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Tripleo Heat Templates, Openstack 2024-11-21 4.0 MEDIUM 4.3 MEDIUM
An information exposure flaw in openstack-tripleo-heat-templates allows an external user to discover the internal IP or hostname. An attacker could exploit this by checking the www_authenticate_uri parameter (which is visible to all end users) in configuration files. This would give sensitive information which may aid in additional system exploitation. This flaw affects openstack-tripleo-heat-templates versions prior to 11.6.1.
CVE-2021-40797 1 Openstack 1 Neutron 2024-11-21 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM

CVE-2020-12692 2 Canonical, Openstack 2 Ubuntu Linux, Keystone 2024-11-21 5.5 MEDIUM 5.4 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in OpenStack Keystone before 15.0.1, and 16.0.0. The EC2 API doesn't have a signature TTL check for AWS Signature V4. An attacker can sniff the Authorization header, and then use it to reissue an OpenStack token an unlimited number of times.
CVE-2020-12691 2 Canonical, Openstack 2 Ubuntu Linux, Keystone 2024-11-21 6.5 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in OpenStack Keystone before 15.0.1, and 16.0.0. Any authenticated user can create an EC2 credential for themselves for a project that they have a specified role on, and then perform an update to the credential user and project, allowing them to masquerade as another user. This potentially allows a malicious user to act as the admin on a project another user has the admin role on, which can effectively grant that user global admin privileges.
CVE-2020-12690 1 Openstack 1 Keystone 2024-11-21 6.5 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in OpenStack Keystone before 15.0.1, and 16.0.0. The list of roles provided for an OAuth1 access token is silently ignored. Thus, when an access token is used to request a keystone token, the keystone token contains every role assignment the creator had for the project. This results in the provided keystone token having more role assignments than the creator intended, possibly giving unintended escalated access.
CVE-2020-12689 2 Canonical, Openstack 2 Ubuntu Linux, Keystone 2024-11-21 6.5 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in OpenStack Keystone before 15.0.1, and 16.0.0. Any user authenticated within a limited scope (trust/oauth/application credential) can create an EC2 credential with an escalated permission, such as obtaining admin while the user is on a limited viewer role. This potentially allows a malicious user to act as the admin on a project another user has the admin role on, which can effectively grant that user global admin privileges.

CVE-2019-15753 1 Openstack 1 Os-vif 2024-11-21 6.4 MEDIUM 9.1 CRITICAL
In OpenStack os-vif 1.15.x before 1.15.2, and 1.16.0, a hard-coded MAC aging time of 0 disables MAC learning in linuxbridge, forcing obligatory Ethernet flooding of non-local destinations, which both impedes network performance and allows users to possibly view the content of packets for instances belonging to other tenants sharing the same network. Only deployments using the linuxbridge backend are affected. This occurs in PyRoute2.add() in internal/command/ip/linux/impl_pyroute2.py.
CVE-2019-14433 4 Canonical, Debian, Openstack and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Nova and 1 more 2024-11-21 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in OpenStack Nova before 17.0.12, 18.x before 18.2.2, and 19.x before 19.0.2. If an API request from an authenticated user ends in a fault condition due to an external exception, details of the underlying environment may be leaked in the response, and could include sensitive configuration or other data.
CVE-2019-10876 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Neutron, Openstack 2024-11-21 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in OpenStack Neutron 11.x before 11.0.7, 12.x before 12.0.6, and 13.x before 13.0.3. By creating two security groups with separate/overlapping port ranges, an authenticated user may prevent Neutron from being able to configure networks on any compute nodes where those security groups are present, because of an Open vSwitch (OVS) firewall KeyError. All Neutron deployments utilizing neutron-openvswitch-agent are affected.

CVE-2018-14635 2 Openstack, Redhat 2 Neutron, Openstack 2024-11-21 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
When using the Linux bridge ml2 driver, non-privileged tenants are able to create and attach ports without specifying an IP address, bypassing IP address validation. A potential denial of service could occur if an IP address, conflicting with existing guests or routers, is then assigned from outside of the allowed allocation pool. Versions of openstack-neutron before 13.0.0.0b2, 12.0.3 and 11.0.5 are vulnerable.
CVE-2018-14432 3 Debian, Openstack, Redhat 3 Debian Linux, Keystone, Openstack 2024-11-21 3.5 LOW 5.3 MEDIUM
In the Federation component of OpenStack Keystone before 11.0.4, 12.0.0, and 13.0.0, an authenticated "GET /v3/OS-FEDERATION/projects" request may bypass intended access restrictions on listing projects. An authenticated user may discover projects they have no authority to access, leaking all projects in the deployment and their attributes. Only Keystone with the /v3/OS-FEDERATION endpoint enabled via policy.json is affected.
