| CVE | Vendors | Products | Updated | CVSS v2 | CVSS v3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CVE-2018-10908 | 2 Ovirt, Redhat | 2 Vdsm, Virtualization | 2024-11-21 | 7.1 HIGH | 6.5 MEDIUM |
It was found that vdsm before version 4.20.37 invokes qemu-img on untrusted inputs without limiting resources. By uploading a specially crafted image, an attacker could cause the qemu-img process to consume unbounded amounts of memory of CPU time, causing a denial of service condition that could potentially impact other users of the host.

| CVE-2018-10907 | 4 Debian, Gluster, Opensuse and 1 more | 5 Debian Linux, Glusterfs, Leap and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
It was found that glusterfs server is vulnerable to multiple stack based buffer overflows due to functions in server-rpc-fopc.c allocating fixed size buffers using 'alloca(3)'. An authenticated attacker could exploit this by mounting a gluster volume and sending a string longer that the fixed buffer size to cause crash or potential code execution.

| CVE-2018-10906 | 3 Debian, Fuse Project, Redhat | 5 Debian Linux, Fuse, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
In fuse before versions 2.9.8 and 3.x before 3.2.5, fusermount is vulnerable to a restriction bypass when SELinux is active. This allows non-root users to mount a FUSE file system with the 'allow_other' mount option regardless of whether 'user_allow_other' is set in the fuse configuration. An attacker may use this flaw to mount a FUSE file system, accessible by other users, and trick them into accessing files on that file system, possibly causing Denial of Service or other unspecified effects.

| CVE-2018-10904 | 4 Debian, Gluster, Opensuse and 1 more | 5 Debian Linux, Glusterfs, Leap and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
It was found that glusterfs server does not properly sanitize file paths in the "trusted.io-stats-dump" extended attribute which is used by the "debug/io-stats" translator. Attacker can use this flaw to create files and execute arbitrary code. To exploit this attacker would require sufficient access to modify the extended attributes of files on a gluster volume.

| CVE-2018-10903 | 3 Canonical, Cryptography, Redhat | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Python-cryptography, Openstack | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
A flaw was found in python-cryptography versions between >=1.9.0 and <2.3. The finalize_with_tag API did not enforce a minimum tag length. If a user did not validate the input length prior to passing it to finalize_with_tag an attacker could craft an invalid payload with a shortened tag (e.g. 1 byte) such that they would have a 1 in 256 chance of passing the MAC check. GCM tag forgeries can cause key leakage.

| CVE-2018-10902 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.6 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
It was found that the raw midi kernel driver does not protect against concurrent access which leads to a double realloc (double free) in snd_rawmidi_input_params() and snd_rawmidi_output_status() which are part of snd_rawmidi_ioctl() handler in rawmidi.c file. A malicious local attacker could possibly use this for privilege escalation.

| CVE-2018-10901 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux Desktop, Enterprise Linux Server and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
A flaw was found in Linux kernel's KVM virtualization subsystem. The VMX code does not restore the GDT.LIMIT to the previous host value, but instead sets it to 64KB. With a corrupted GDT limit a host's userspace code has an ability to place malicious entries in the GDT, particularly to the per-cpu variables. An attacker can use this to escalate their privileges.

A directory traversal issue was found in reposync, a part of yum-utils, where reposync fails to sanitize paths in remote repository configuration files. If an attacker controls a repository, they may be able to copy files outside of the destination directory on the targeted system via path traversal. If reposync is running with heightened privileges on a targeted system, this flaw could potentially result in system compromise via the overwriting of critical system files. Version 1.1.31 and older ...
