An authentication bypass flaw was found in the way krb5's certauth interface before 1.16.1 handled the validation of client certificates. A remote attacker able to communicate with the KDC could potentially use this flaw to impersonate arbitrary principals under rare and erroneous circumstances.

It was found that Satellite 5 configured with SSL/TLS for the PostgreSQL backend failed to correctly validate X.509 server certificate host name fields. A man-in-the-middle attacker could use this flaw to spoof a PostgreSQL server using a specially crafted X.509 certificate.

In curl and libcurl 7.52.0 to and including 7.53.1, libcurl would attempt to resume a TLS session even if the client certificate had changed. An exploitable denial of service vulnerability exists within the reading of proprietary server certificates in FreeRDP 2.0.0-beta1+android11. A specially crafted challenge packet can cause the program termination leading to a denial of service condition. An attacker can compromise the server or use man in the middle to trigger this vulnerability.

When parsing the AIA-Extension field of a client certificate, Apache Tomcat Native Connector 1.2.0 to 1.2.14 and 1.1.23 to 1.1.34 did not correctly handle fields longer than 127 bytes. The result of the parsing error was to skip the OCSP check. It was therefore possible for client certificates that should have been rejected (if the OCSP check had been made) to be accepted.
