Apptainer is an open source container platform. Version 1.2.0-rc.2 introduced an ineffective privilege drop when requesting container network setup, therefore subsequent functions are called with root privileges, the attack surface is rather limited for users but an attacker could possibly craft a starter config to delete any directory on the host filesystems. A security fix has been included in Apptainer 1.2.1. There is no known workaround outside of upgrading to Apptainer 1.2.1.

KubePi is an opensource kubernetes management panel. A normal user has permission to create/update users, they can become admin by editing the `isadmin` value in the request. As a result any user may take administrative control of KubePi. This issue has been addressed in version 1.6.5. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

Cryptomator is data encryption software for users who store their files in the cloud. Prior to version 1.9.2, the MSI installer provided on the homepage allows local privilege escalation (LPE) for low privileged users, if already installed. VMware Aria Operations contains a local privilege escalation vulnerability. A malicious actor with administrative access to the local system can escalate privileges to 'root'.

Scylladb is a NoSQL data store using the seastar framework, compatible with Apache Cassandra. Authenticated users who are authorized to create tables in a keyspace can escalate their privileges to access a table in the same keyspace, even if they don't have permissions for that table. This issue has not yet been patched. A workaround to address this issue is to disable CREATE privileges on a keyspace, and create new tables on behalf of other users.
