In android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, possible buffer overflow or information leak in the functions "sme_set_ft_ies" and "csr_roam_issue_ft_preauth_req" due to incorrect initialization of WEXT callbacks and lack of the checks for buffer size.

In Android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, while processing a specially crafted cfg80211 vendor command, a buffer over-read can occur.

elf.c in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.29.1, does not validate sizes of core notes, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (bfd_getl32 heap-based buffer over-read and application crash) via a crafted object file, related to elfcore_grok_netbsd_procinfo, elfcore_grok_openbsd_procinfo, and elfcore_grok_nto_status.

The ICMP parser in tcpdump before 4.9.2 has a buffer over-read in print-icmp.c:icmp_print().

The OSPFv3 parser in tcpdump before 4.9.2 has a buffer over-read in print-ospf6.c:ospf6_decode_v3().

There is a heap-based buffer over-read in the Exiv2::Internal::PngChunk::keyTXTChunk function of pngchunk_int.cpp in Exiv2 0.26. A crafted PNG file will lead to a remote denial of service attack.

OpenSSL 1.0.2 (starting from version 1.0.2b) introduced an "error state" mechanism. The intent was that if a fatal error occurred during a handshake then OpenSSL would move into the error state and would immediately fail if you attempted to continue the handshake. This works as designed for the explicit handshake functions (SSL_do_handshake(), SSL_accept() and SSL_connect()), however due to a bug it does not work correctly if SSL_read() or SSL_write() is called directly. In order to exploit this issue an application bug would have to be present that resulted in a call to SSL_read()/SSL_write() being issued after having already received a fatal error. OpenSSL version 1.0.2b-1.0.2m are affected. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2n. OpenSSL 1.1.0 is not affected.
